Who was Andy Whitfield?

He was born in Anglesey, Wales, UK on October 17, 1971 under the zodiac sign Libra. Life before acting

Andy studied and graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in England, then went to work and live in Australia at the age of 28, and eventually settled in Sydney, accompanied by his parents and sister. Acting career

He got his first major role in the Australian action horror film “Gabriel”, playing the titular role of the archangel, and who follows his fight to rid Purgatory of the evil fallen angels. He also appeared in another movie called “The Clinic” in 2010, which is a horror film with a rating of 5.4 / 10 on IMDb.

His greatest success was in the title role of “Spartacus: Blood and Sand” in the 2010 television series. It is a story of the Thracian gladiator who led a slave uprising against the Roman Republic. He met the love of his life in London, an Iranian-Australian named Vashti, who was a design consultant and later became a life coach in Australia. They fell in love almost instantly, moved to Sydney to live together and married there in 2001. They have two children together, a son – Jesse Red Whitfield – and a daughter named Indigo Sky Whitfield.

His world fell apart when he went to the doctor in March 2010 and found out he was suffering from a non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It’s a whole group of blood cancers, quite dangerous, and can grow slowly or quickly – hers was fast. He immediately started treating it and appeared to be successful in June 2010, but the cancer returned in September 2010 and killed Andy on September 11, 2011, just a year and a half after his first diagnosis. He was 39 when he died. His last episode was filmed for “Spartacus: Gods of the Arena” in which he only voiced and was not credited.
